Ronald J. Cook handles business litigation matters with an emphasis on litigation-based insurance issues, including coverage, defense and bad faith. He also frequently represents parties in first-party property claims and construction dispute matters. Mr. Cook also serves as a private binding arbitrator and mediator, helping to quickly and efficiently resolve insurance coverage issues that can impede dispute resolution. Having represented both plaintiffs and defendants as a litigator, he has a perspective from both sides of the table. In addition to insurance, his practice includes commercial litigation, construction, real estate, personal injury and landlord-tenant law.

Mr. Cook is also a frequent lecturer on insurance and litigation topics and an active member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, volunteering his time as a settlement Judge Pro Tem and judicial arbitrator.

Mr. Cook was formerly an attorney with the firms Popelka, Allard, McCowan & Jones and Caroll, Burdick & McDonough in San Francisco.

He grew up in San Jose and lives in the Santa Cruz Mountains with his wife and two children. He is an avid mountain biker, runner and outdoorsman.
