Randall E. Willoughby has more than 40 years of litigation experience in both state and federal courts throughout California, involving a broad scope of business litigation, including insurance, real estate, construction, agra-business and professional liability disputes. He also serves as a private mediator, as well as a mediator and early neutral evaluator for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

Prior to Willoughby, Stuart, Bening & Cook, Mr. Willoughby was a partner with the law firm of Hoge, Fenton, Jones & Appel and head of its Insurance practice group. He specialized in the handling of insurance coverage and bad faith litigation on behalf of insurers and policyholders.

He met his wife Jan at San Jose State University, and they have been married for 48 years. They have two children and three grandchildren. Mr. Willoughby is an avid fly fisherman, golf enthusiast and skier. He also enjoys the theater and is a devoted San Francisco Giant and San Jose Sharks fan. He is also actively engaged in volunteer charitable activities.
